EGR Delete in Surrey — Cure the Fault for Good

A sticking, sooted-up EGR valve means rough idling, hesitation, black smoke and limp mode. We delete the EGR in software and blank it off across Surrey, so the engine breathes cleanly and the fault stops coming back.

What the EGR does — and why it fails

The EGR valve recirculates exhaust gas into the intake to lower combustion temperatures, but that soot-laden gas gradually gums up the valve and intake until it sticks. A stuck EGR means rough running, hesitation, black smoke, poor economy and, often, limp mode with a warning light.

Cleaning is temporary and a new valve just resets the same clock. An EGR delete maps the valve out of the software and blanks off the recirculation path, so no more soot is fed back in — the rough running clears and the fault doesn’t return.

One visit, fixed price, reversible

We recalibrate the software and fit a blanking plate on-site, clear every related fault code, and archive your original file first so it can be reinstated later if you ever need it. It’s a fixed price agreed up front — usually far less than repeated cleaning or a new valve.

Often done alongside the DPF

A sooty EGR piles extra load on the DPF, so many drivers have us deal with both in the same mobile visit for the cleanest long-term result. We cover every Surrey town at your home or workplace.

EGR Delete — frequently asked questions

What are the signs of a faulty EGR valve?

Rough or lumpy idling, hesitation when you accelerate, black smoke, poor economy and often limp mode with a warning light. Because the valve feeds soot back into the intake, symptoms tend to get worse over time.

Is it better to clean, replace or delete the EGR?

Cleaning is a temporary fix — the valve sooties up again — and a new valve just resets the same clock. Deleting the valve in software and blanking it off stops the soot path for good, which is why most people choose it.

Will an EGR delete cure the rough running and limp mode?

Yes. Once the valve is mapped out and blanked, the rough running and hesitation clear, the warning light goes out and the limp mode stops.

How much does it cost?

It’s a fixed price agreed before we start, and usually far less than repeated cleaning or a new valve fitted by a dealer. Call with your registration for a quote.

How long does it take and do you come to me?

It’s mobile, carried out at your address anywhere in Surrey, and usually done within the hour.

Which vehicles do you cover?

The major diesel cars, vans and pickups. Tell us the make, model and registration and we’ll confirm.

Can it be reversed?

Yes — your original software is archived first, so it can be put back at any time.

Can you do the EGR and DPF together?

Yes, and it often makes sense to — a sooty EGR puts extra strain on the DPF, so dealing with both in one visit gives the cleanest long-term result.
