This policy explains how Car Services & Repairs Surrey (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you contact us, use this website, or book our services. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, transparently and only for the purposes described here, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you contact us or book a job we may collect: your name and contact details (phone, email, address where the work takes place); your vehicle’s registration and technical details; details of the work requested and carried out, including before-and-after odometer readings where relevant; and payment records. Our website itself does not require you to create an account.

Why we collect it

We use this information to provide quotes and carry out the services you ask for; to keep the written job records we maintain for every booking (including written confirmation of work and before-and-after readings where relevant); to meet legal, accounting and insurance obligations; and to respond to enquiries. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Job records and invoices are retained for up to six years, in line with normal business and legal record-keeping requirements, after which they are securely deleted or destroyed. General enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are kept no longer than needed to deal with them.

Sharing

We only share personal data where necessary to run the business — for example with our accountant, payment providers, or insurers — or where the law requires it. Anyone who processes data for us is required to protect it.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function, plus any analytics described in our cookie notice at the time. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccuracies corrected, to ask for deletion where we no longer need the data, and to object to certain processing.
