Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026 — [Template: have these reviewed by a solicitor and complete the placeholders before launch.]

1. Who we are

These terms apply to services supplied by Car Services & Repairs Surrey (“we”, “us”) — [registered business name, company number and address to be inserted]. By booking our services you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are fixed for the vehicle and work described at the time of booking, based on the details you provide (including registration). If on inspection the vehicle differs materially from what was described, we will re-quote before starting any work. Payment is due on completion by card, cash or bank transfer.

3. Mileage correction

Mileage correction is supplied on the basis that the figure you ask us to program is, to the best of your knowledge, the vehicle’s true mileage — for example following an instrument cluster replacement or repair, or unit conversion on an imported vehicle. We provide written confirmation of the work, including before-and-after readings, for your records, and reserve the right to decline any work at our discretion. Responsibility for anything disclosed to a future buyer of the vehicle rests with the seller.

4. Engine software and related work

Work that changes your vehicle’s software or configuration is carried out at the customer’s request. The customer confirms they are entitled to authorise the work and is responsible for the vehicle and how it is used afterwards. Where we hold your original software we archive it before making changes and can reinstate it on request (a call-out fee may apply).

5. Repairs, keys and warranty

Repairs are guaranteed against failure of the repaired component for [warranty period — e.g. 12 months] from completion. The warranty covers the fault repaired, not unrelated faults in the same unit, and is void if the unit is subsequently opened, modified or damaged by others.

6. Your responsibilities

You confirm you are entitled to authorise work on the vehicle, and that information you give us (including the vehicle’s true mileage where relevant) is accurate. You must provide safe access to the vehicle at the agreed time and location.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability in connection with any job is limited to the price paid for that job. We are not liable for pre-existing faults, for losses caused by inaccurate information you provide, or for indirect losses such as loss of earnings.

8. Cancellations

You may cancel or rearrange free of charge with reasonable notice. A call-out fee may be charged where a technician attends and the work cannot proceed for reasons within your control.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
