Ford Dashboard & Speedometer Repair in Surrey — Dead Displays, Stuck Needles & Warning Lights Sorted
Focus, C-Max, Kuga, Mondeo, Galaxy, S-Max or Transit with a dashboard that’s given up? From speedos stuck at zero to displays you can’t read and cars that refuse to start, we put Ford dashes right at your home anywhere in Surrey — and if you’d rather, we can collect the unit and return it working.
Why so many Ford dashboards give up
Between the late nineties and the late 2010s, Ford’s most popular cars and vans left the factory with electronic dashboards from the same supplier family. They were fine when new — but fifteen or twenty years of vibration, damp winters and hot summers slowly break down the electronics inside. The result is the wave of dashboard trouble every Ford owner in Surrey seems to know someone who’s had: needles that die mid-journey, mileage windows that turn to dashes, screens that fade to nothing, and the nasty one — a dash so dead the security system decides the car might be stolen and refuses to let it start.
The good news: it’s almost always repairable, it doesn’t need a new dashboard from Ford, and you don’t have to take the car anywhere. We fix the original unit — so your recorded mileage and your keys carry on exactly as they are, with nothing to re-code.
Pick the symptom you’re seeing
- Speedometer not working — needle stuck at zero, sweeping wildly, or dead along with the fuel gauge
- Dashboard completely dead — no lights, no gauges, often a car that won’t start
- Dashboard flickering or cutting out — comes back after a restart, for now
- Mileage showing dashes or unreadable — the classic older-Focus and Transit Connect fault
- Won’t start with the immobiliser light flashing — the dash fault that strands the car
Which Fords we see most
Focus (1998–2018, every generation), C-Max, Kuga, Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max — plus working vehicles: Transit and Transit Connect vans whose dashboards fail at the worst possible moment for a working day. If your Ford isn’t listed, call anyway — if the dash is electronic, the odds are we repair it.
At your door, or collect and return
Most Surrey customers choose the driveway visit: we arrive, prove the fault, repair the unit on the spot and don’t leave until the dash reads right and the engine runs. But if the car lives at a garage, or you’re happy to have the unit out yourself, we also collect the dashboard unit, rebuild it and return it — handy for trade customers. Either way the price is fixed and agreed before any work starts, and your mileage and key coding are never touched.

Your questions, answered
Do you replace the dashboard or repair it?
We repair your original unit at component level. Replacement dashboards — new or second-hand — bring mileage and security-coding headaches with them, and on older Fords they’re often the same age as the part that failed. Repairing the original avoids all of it.
Will my mileage be correct afterwards?
Yes. The recorded mileage stays in your unit and comes back exactly as it should — on the older Focus and Connect dashboards that show dashes, the true reading returns to the display once the fault is repaired.
Can you really do it at my house?
That’s how most jobs are done — the van carries everything needed. If a job ever needs longer on the bench, we offer collect-and-return so you’re never without answers.
